This term, our science lessons in Year 2 have been about animal needs for survival. We have been learning that all animals, including humans, need water, air, food and shelter to survive! One of our lessons was all about birds, with discussion on their key features and how they are similar and different to other animals, such as mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish. As part of our lessons on birds, we made bird feeders out of toilet rolls, a paste of flour and water, and bird seeds! The children then got to take them home, to hang up outside to feed the birds!
