Literacy and Maths Links
If your child's bubble is closed, the class teacher will be setting literacy and maths work using the Class Dojo app. If you would like to use additional resources here are a few of our suggestions.
Literacy - all ages
Oxford Owl - sign up for free to access an ebook library. If you are not sure which book band your child is reading please email the class email to ask their teacher
Get Epic - an online library. Class teachers in some year groups have already signed up their classes. If your class hasn't yet signed up but you would like to use this, please email the class teacher to request this
Nessy - we have already contacted everyone who we think would most benefit from this. If you haven't received an email but think this would be beneficial to you, please email your child's class teacher for more info.
Story Starts - a website which gives your child the start of the story for them to continue
Fiction Express - weekly stories where your child can vote on plot twists and be rewarded for their reading. If you would like to be set up on this and your child's teacher hasn't done so already, please email them!
Book Life - have some free ebooks which can be downloaded. You have to create a free account, but can then download the books. Titles including Parts of a Plant, Space Stats, Why do I wash my hands and more. one of the titles - A Kid's Guide to Feeling Lonely is available to download below
Keeping Kids Busy - Nottingham City Libraries have online activities including "live" story sessions through Zoom for all ages
Literacy - EYFS/KS1
Phonics Play - online phonics games, currently FREE for everyone
Phonics Bloom - online phonics games, many are free, but some require a subscription
Teach your Monster to Read - sign up for free to help younger children learn to read. The app is currently FREE as well (usually there is a charge)

Spellings - KS2 spelling rules explained
Maths - all ages
Times tables rock stars (Y2-6) and Numbots (Y1) - your child has a personal login. If you need a reminder, please let us know.

Math Playground - lots of maths games. Many are free, but some require a subscription
White Rose -the White Rose home learning materials are what our teachers are linking to for your child's maths lessons
Dance Equation - combines dancing and maths, great for 2-8 year olds and those with additional needs. Some older children may also enjoy it. The first lesson at each level is free.
