We have made nature documentary films in the style of David Attenborough.
We used the Discovery Garden here at school to gain an insight into how different animals live in and use different habitats. We have grassland which houses insects such as Grasshoppers and mammals like the Field Mouse. Underneath an old gym mat we found more insects such as Centipedes and Millipedes but also an amphiban, the common newt. In a rotting tree stump we discovered a huge insect called the Lesser Stag Beetle. Lots of birds, moths, butterflies and plants were also found.
We decided to chose and research facts about our favourite British animal and create a nature documentary in the style of The Blue Planet.
We didn't have the two or three years that some of those camera people took to get their shots so we used a mixture of footage from the internet and our own to create our one.
Have a look and see what you think.
