Maple Class receive award from 'Food for Life'
Dunkirk Primary School has been involved in a project with an organisation called Food for Life.
The class used the Nature Garden and the Discovery Garden to germinate seeds, grow vegetables and then cook and prepare a delicious meal with their ingredients for a feast for themselves and their parents. We made two films to document the process over a whole year. These films can be seen in the out-door learning page of this website. We have some photographs of a group of children who were randomly sent to collect our award and represent everyone involved in a fantastic project. A wonderful afternoon was had at the NG1 University building where we were given a lovely locally produced meal and there were loads of hands on 'green' activities for the children to get involved with.
