Friday 27th March
Hi Maple Class!
We have almost reached the weekend! Well done for all your hard work throughout this week and, even though I don't get to see you everyday, seeing photos of all your hard work and the fun things you have got up to really makes me proud to be your teacher.
This afternoon I will be making a post on our website about all the non-school related, positive and kind things you have done. If you have any more photos or you can write me an email to tell me the kind things you have done then I will add them into the post.
Here are today's tasks:
Maths - Paper 1: arithmetic
This is a quiz of all the things we have learnt so far this term in maths (and a few things we haven't thanks to the disruption). You should be able to complete this paper in about 20 minutes but if you need a little longer, that's fine. I would rather you had a go and tried each question. Remember to use all the methods we have been learning in school - column addition and subtraction, long multiplication and division by representing the number and then sharing it into circles.
English - spellings
There are 3 sets of spellings in your pack. You don't have to do them all today. What you could do is pick one sent of words, practise writing them on the handwriting paper then have a go at another strategy to practise the spellings e.g. rainbow writing, create some flash cards to put up around your house, think of a rhyme to help you remember or look, cover, write, check. Later on this afternoon, you could ask someone in your family to test you to see how many you can remember.
Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
