There was a grand  ceremony to mark the official opening of Abbey Campus, Dunkirk Primary School on 9th January 2013.

There were many VIP's who came...the Lord Mayor and Mayoress. Some local councillors came including Councillor Mellen.The Chair of Governors, Mr Andy Bennett came and made a speech. Parents and carers from both Highfields and Abbey Campus attended and all the children from both sites were there. The children sang and presented a potted history of the Old Lenton School. Everyone there was lucky enough to see an animation film made by year 3 about the Tudors!

The ribbon was officially cut by the Lord Mayor and the campus was declared open.

We would like to thank everyone who made the effort to attend and look forward to many further events at the Abbey Campus in the future!
