Learning about Lenton

Throughout the Autumn term, Olive Class have been learning about geography by looking at maps and exploring the local area of Lenton.

We started our topic by going for a walk from school to look at the buildings and architecture in the community around our school.

We discovered that Lenton is a very interesting place, with lots of historical buildings, shops, places of business and places of worship. The difference between the old and new buildings was clear to see, but there were some details about the buildings that the children had not noticed before.

It was a worthwhile experience and the children took time to focus and concentrate on the area where some of them live, and appreciate the diversity and culture within a small part of Nottingham.
